 Rail - true position
 RACE 1 - Tooheys
Pils Maiden Plate 1350m After the race Powder Burn was found to have lost its off
hind plate. The track was upgraded to Dead at 12.03pm to retrospectively include this
race. RACE 2 - Tooheys Maxim 2yo Maiden Plate 1100m Tones and Super Phosphate were slow into stride. What A
Classic and Peat's Bite bumped heavily at the start. Grandmartin, which was slow to begin,
was crowded shortly after the start between Ratio and Prophet Jewel, both of which shifted
ground. Ratio raced greenly in the early stages. Approaching the 700M Brother Of Danny (P
Falvey) shifted in crowding Just Fame which in turn hampered Bahamian Breeze. P Falvey was
advised to exercise more care when shifting ground. Grandmartin, which was following, was
steadied off the heels of Bahamian Breeze and then commenced to hang out. Rounding the
home turn Just Fame, which was inclined to hang out, was bumped by Tones which made the
turn awkwardly. As a consequence Just Flame clipped the heels of Brother Of Danny and
dislodged its rider, R M Quinn. Peat's Bite and Ratio, which were following Just Fame,
were hampered in consequence. Stewards deemed the fall to be accidental and as such did
not take any action. R M Quinn was taken to Wyong hospital for precautionary x-rays and
stood down from his remaining engagements. RACE 3 - Tooheys Old Open Handicap 1000m The start of this race was delayed five minutes due to the
second ambulance having to transport jockey R M Quinn to hospital. On jumping Future
Master shifted outwards bumping Miner. Dane Wiz, Shy Hero, Lady Po and Incident were
crowded at the start between The Falcon, which jumped out abruptly, and Well Pleased. As a
result Incident and Shy Hero lost ground. Near the 150m Future Master shifted out to
continue in clear running resulting in Miner bumping Well Pleased. Incident was unable to
obtain clear running until the concluding stages. Shy Hero raced tight to the inside of
Incident over the final 50 metres. RACE 4 - Hahn Premium Light Maiden Plate 1100m After beginning awkwardly The Morph was then crowded
shortly after the start by Frontier Fighter which veered inwards. Almighty Al was crowded
at the start when Oakfield Gold shifted in. Near the 800m Punky Brewster became unbalanced
when buffeted between Real Dash and Frontier Fighter. A short distance later Sharmeela was
taken in by Up The Sleeve (D Beasley) bumping Frontier Fighter in on to Punky Brewster and
Real Dash. D Beasley was advised to make sure he is two lengths clear before shifting
ground. Baradine laid in under pressure rounding the home turn and in the straight and as
a result could not be ridden out fully. P Falvey (Real Dash) was reminded of his
obligation to ensure he rides his mounts out fully to the line. When questioned as to the
reason for Up The Sleeve being ridden in a more forward position today, D Beasley stated
that he had been instructed to have the gelding further forward than at its last start,
however due to the wide barrier and being caught wide in the early stages, he elected to
ride Up The Sleeve further forward than he had anticipated. RACE 5 - Hahn Premium Provincial Class 1 & Maiden
1600m On jumping Snoopy was crowded when King Penquin was taken
out by Stormy. Passing the 300M Spurwood was steadied when held up for a run behind Raphis
and Abinger Hammer. Mustela cast its off hind plate in running. RACE 6 - Alex Player - Tooheys 3yo Maiden Plate 1200m Sattelburg and Father's Folly were slow to begin. All
In The Hands, which jumped awkwardly, was buffeted for some distance between Occular and
Embroid. Burly Man raced fiercely getting its head up on several occasions in the early
stages, then near the 400m shifted out crowding Embroid which made contact with Danzina.
When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of Danzina, C Munce stated that
from his wide barrier he was trapped wide throughout. He added that Danzina hung in
throughout and in the straight compounded quickly. A post race veterinary examination of
Danzina did not reveal any abnormality. The stable representative for trainer Mrs G
Waterhouse was advised to report if there is anything amiss with Danzina in the days
subsequent. RACE 7 - Tooheys New Class 3 Handicap 1200m Tokin Prince jumped awkwardly, shifted out and bumped
Red Baroness. Near the 200m Poetic Papal attempted a run where there was insufficient room
between High Domain and Spirit Of America resulting in High Domain being crowded in onto
Queen Sissie. A short distance later Spirit Of America (R Brewer) shifted in under
pressure crowding Poetic Papal (D McLellan) in on to High Domain and the tiring Queen
Sissie with Queen Sissie having to be checked.. D McLellan was severely reprimanded for
attempting a run where there was insufficient room and apprentice R Brewer was severely
reprimanded for failing to make sufficient effort to keep his mount straight when shifting
ground. When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of Tokin Prince, B
Pengelly stated that at no stage did Tokin Prince travel throughout the race. He said he
expected to be in a forward position but from barrier rise Tokin Prince did not show any
early speed. He said he placed the gelding under pressure from the 800m but Tokin Prince
failed to respond to his riding and was disappointing. A post race veterinary examination
of Tokin Prince did not reveal any abnormality. Trainer B Milligan will be interviewed at
a later date. RACE 8 - Tooheys Extra Dry Class 1 Handicap 1000m It's Not Luck was a late scratching at 7.54am. The
explanation offered by trainer Mrs M Thexton was accepted. Absolute Lure was slow to
begin. When questioned regarding the performance of Without Concern, D Beasley stated that
he was instructed to have the filly in a forward position, however as the gates were
released Without Concern got its head up and became unbalanced. He said shortly after the
start he was crowded by Absolute Lure when that filly shifted in resulting in him getting
further back than anticipated. He said that coming to the home turn he had to steady out
across the heels of Starvite and then over the concluding stages was unable to obtain
clear running and was not fully tested. A post race veterinary examination of Without
Concern did not reveal any abnormality. SUMMARY: REPRIMANDS: Race 7 - D McLellan (Poetic Papal), R Brewer (Spirit Of America)
