Can anybody help me? Has anyone heard of Rosekirk and their software? I'm just days away from handing over my money to them and i'd like to know if i'm going to get it back or not? PLEASE IF ANYONE CAN GIVE ME ANY ADVICE ON THIS TOPIC? MUCH APPRECIATED! : )
1. Glossy brochure. Beautiful couple. Flash cars. Lovely home. Pages of results, none of which can possibly be verified.
2. Thousands of dollars price tag.
3. Claims that "you don't need to know anything about horse racing - we are the experts".
4. Very pushy salepeople (who are all on a commission).
5. Based in South East Queensland.
Do yourself a favour and get onto your state's Consumer Affairs office or the ACCC. While Rosekirk itself may not be known to them, horse racing betting systems would be. Its quite common for the companies in this field to fold and the software emerges somewhere else to be sold under another name.
Certainly sounds like something to avoid. It might be wiser to invest in some real software (along the lines of Bet Selector perhaps?) and make your own selections.

Hi Frank, have been bitten by Rosekirk as well, they stopped supplying me with info. in May2006. I am seeking legal advice but have been told that i have to find and locate them. Have you had any success in doing this. Would love to hear from you in regards to this. Balwayn Ivorsen group scammed us $ 9000.00 just stopped sending tips 6 months into it They are professionals. Ive taken out a court order for recovery This was done in NSW now I'm told I have to do it all again in Qld more cost no guarantee. Is this worth it or do I waste more money chasing them? any ideas.
I got caught in Jan 06 by the same company (Balwyn Ivorsen) but the program was called VECTA. As normal scumbags stopped sending useless selections and can't be contacted. Spoke to ASIC to get contact details will have to lodge and pay for a company search thru ASIC.
Beware of Program called VECTA. Same principal you pay for a race program which doesn't work.Comes from Gold coast but supprise supprise there's no answer when you call. Have got a couple of others here SUPATAB comes from same suberb on the Gold Coast same principal, don't know anything about results. I was approached by them about a week ago, and from the answers I was given, I think they may be a bit suspect.
When asked what factors the program used to make selections, he was unable to tell me saying that the IT people worked it out.
I asked him for proof of the results cited and he was unable to comply. Stated that he would get back to me in a couple of days. Needless to say, I haven't heard from him since.
You aren't actually buying the program, but selections that it produces. At $8000 for 5 years, there are better services around for a lot less.
In my research, I also noted that this company has advertised a variety of programs under different names that appear to do the same thing. They may be above board, but I don't believe it's worth the risk.
Received information from a company called Cressida Corporation wanting me to buy there Catalyst software, I have declind of course, got all the normal crap from them wanting me to invest $8000. The funny thing is I rang there number they put in the newspaper and asked for either Larry Pickering or Wayne Evans to contact me and was told that they were busy at the time but if I would leave my name and number then one of them would get back to me. They both worked for Rosekirk. My husband was taken by them and we are still trying to get his money back. Now I think we have a connection between the two companies . Need to contact as many people as possible. Cressida's phone numbers are 1300 559 868(ad in local newspapers) or 1800 242 658. There office is at 70 Griffith Street, Coolangatta, Qld, but the company was registered at Broadbeach Qld:)

So I rang Cressida on their number and asked for LARRY PICKERING OR WAYNE KENT and was told they were busy but if i was willing to leave my name and contact number one of them would ring back. Those two worked for Rosekirk still do but company is using Cressida as its trading name now. So please do not give them money you will loose it. Every person that purchased this program via credit card can reverse their payment. You were sold a computer program to select competitors this is not the case and never was. You have been misrepresented and therefore sold to under false pretences. If enough people put in a complaint with reversing their credit card purchase, their bank will freeze their assets. It happened to them when they were Hamlyn Crest they were sent packing with their gutless tails between their legs. I haven’t begun to expose their over seas ventures, this will be next.

I recall answering an ad in a horse racing newspaper about a program that calculated winners achieving a 42% success rate. When I ordered the information pack I received a very extravagant production featuring Larry Pickering lounging on his boat (that he bought with his winnings) and talking about this so called dream program.
This was about 10 years ago now. I didnt buy then and the only reason im looking around at these forums is because there is a new player in town who are attempting to scam honest people out of their money. They go by the name Supatab Australia, you'll never guess where they are based...yep, south Queeensland. Asking price this time around is $6600. However the gentleman that spoke to me was more than will to accept half upfront and take the remainder after 6 months.
I agreed to the deal in order to get hold of the contract he wanted me to sign, and being a legal document there is a paper trail to trace back whenever required.
Good luck to all those pursuing legal action. Perhaps consider a class action?

No I'm not. I'm just someone that has seen this program work like you probly did. I looked at the blog spot and it is just a page on what a rich person has spent there money on. I could take pictures of the owners of "The Warehouse" house, they sell stuff that breaks in 5 min, but they are not scammers.. I dont get what everyone is saying. The showroom in surfers has shown me the program and i keep calling them for another 1hr trial. Sometimes i think that I am annoying them for calling them to much. They dont offer any money back guarantee. If one was to buy it, it would be because one has seen it work. If they showed you guys the program and it did not work, then why did you buy it. On average each of their companies employ 30 sales staff, with their worst month of one sale per person at on average $8000.00 per sale, equates to $240,000.00. Multiply this by at least 5 companies that are running at any one given time is 1.2million turnover per month. They have been doing this for over 15 years.
If we keep the pressure on, then the scammed money will soon stop pouring in! The bigger they are the harder they fall (especially when a scam is this big)!

My experience was with them sending me tips on Wed & Sat.
Their program is bullshit - their strike rate is below 15% and avge divs are down near $3-$4 so you lose all the time. They suggest you stake 5% of your total pool. I tried this 18 months ago and all the money ($1000) was gone in 6-7 mths. I have kept records again from the start of this year and $1000 from Jan 1st would now be $200 !!
I thought that I had found the secret tipping service that not many other people would ever find and that I would make plenty. How wrong I was!
It is true what people say - if the tips are so good, why would they ever sell them? I stupidly convinced myself that it would work. I now have proof that it is an abject failure, and I have since met other people in differently named scams that have also failed.
There is no such thing as a system or program like these that work. I was blinded by the lure of the dollar, and should have seen that I was being ripped off.

I've just found this site by chance coz I wanted to see what i could find out about my new "investment". Dawn Evans was the name of the lady who did a great job convincing me of how great their program was and how I should "take a leap of faith" were her words, if I wanted to reap the rewards. I paid $2500 to Cressida Corporation for a Catalyst CD about 5wks ago. So far I havn't used the CD because it's quite involved, far more than they had led me to believe before I had decided whether to hand my $$$ over or not. Now they tell me you need to purchase the newspaper The Sportsman and then fill in some 100 details just for one horse. So that could mean 1000 entries just for one 10 horses horse race. I do get 3 automated selections on a wednesday & thursday and so far I'm ahead, but not by much, since reading all these comments about it I'm a little concerned. Can anyone tell me if they've actually used the CD and if it does actually give you a selection once you've spent all the time filling in the data entries?

On the whole they looked very professional, as i quickly found out looks are deceiving!A Fancy website and the perceived credibility that these expos were "endorsing" their what turns out to be just another shitty non performing racing scam program from the gold coast. J I myself have just today been handed a copy of Catalyst Volume 1. I can't see written anywhere the part about buying the Sportsman or filling in 100's of details for one horse? In fact, is states very clearly on Page 17, "it shouldn't take much of your time at all. Normally, around 3 minutes per day" and on Page 4, "three minutes operational time per day" (I assume to win all this money). So J, what are you doing wrong? Think about it - 3 minutes a day - get really wealthy - makes sense to me!
This may be of assistance to you and others who have been effected by Catalyst. Firstly, you should contact Dawn Evans and ask her to provide you with the Australian Financial Services License number, name of the license holder and name of the Responsible Officer (Section 913B - Corporations Act) under which she sold you this product. Also ask her what amount of commission she received from selling you the product (it's always an excellent question in these circumstances). From looking at the Catalyst Volume 1, 21 page product disclosure statement, this appears it could be a financial product as defined under the Financial Services Reform Act 2001 legislation - (note the words 'investor/investment are used 11 times in the document). Some points for consideration may be: Corporations Act - Division 3 Section 763A (1) - Definition of financial product - "...a facility through which... a person... (a) makes a financial investment (b) manages financial risk " Section 763B - Person makes a financial investment (a) (i) "...person uses the contribution to generate a financial return.." (ii)"..other person will use the contribution to generate a return..." The cost of purchasing the software, one must assume, would include ongoing service and support, upgrades, etc. to ensure investment returns are continually provided in line with statements set out in the product disclosure statement (Catalyst - Volume 1). In fact, it states - Page 4 - "..sit back and allow the experts and cutting edge programming technology to do the work for you". Page 6 - "complex data that is computed and upgraded daily..." The other mystifying thing is it appears you are purchasing software but the Catalyst Volume 1 states on Page 4 - "no computer necessary." Section 763C - Person manages financial risk (a) & (b) Section 764A (1) Things that are finacial products (m) "anything declared by the regulations to be a financial product for the purposes of this section" Section 766A (1) Provide a financial service (a) & (b) Section 766B (1) Provide financial product advice (a)"..influence a person or persons in making a decision.." (b)"..being intended to have such an influence."
Seems to me products of this nature as presented in Catalyst Volume 1 should fall under the current FSRA legislation and therefore require its promoters to hold an AFS License. That's certainly the impression they appear to be trying to acheive - to have you feel you are looking through an investment document. That being the case, the FSR Act also provides remedies for investors and very, very serious penalties for all those operating and promoting financial products without a license or without compling to license conditions.
ASIC regulate the FSR Act 2001. So maybe everyone who has doubts or grievances should refer these to ASIC and provide copies of documentation and details of discussions they have had with its promotors and sales people in line with requesting ASIC's assistance under the FSRA legislation.
Maybe nothing wrong with their programme for picking winners consistantly (my opinion is they are all flawed in some way). If they had nothing to worry about, why not apply to ASIC for a AFS license and really go into business. I guess we all know why !

I get my selections on a wed & sat & so far out of the last 30 bets (10 days from 5wks) 7 have been winners so that's a 23.3% strike rate so far. The strike rate Cressida reports is 32.25%. The average dividend per dollar is $4.30 so far. Cressida reports an average of $5.40 based on past results. Now it's too early for me to tell what will happen in the future but I'm remaining positive as I'm up. Not by much but I'm up. I’m not surprised that Rosekirt has closed down I worked there earlier this year it was very strange there were loads of so called managers in one office people like Julian Price, Wayne Evans, Silvia Combatti some fat guy called Stuart all of the people I saw are on this site and on www.larrypickering.blogspot.com everybody was desperate and it felt like it was going to close any day so it’s no surprise to me that it has. I did see Larry Pickering once walking through the office everybody said there’s the boss he just looked like an old man. From listening to all the people in the office talking don’t be surprised if they are setting up other offices this is all they know but from what little time I spent there its obvious there's a paper trail trough the banks it got to come from some were and most defiantly has to go to someone I bet it that old man. I found it easy to search the internet for info from old court records to bloggs and in the news paper sites with stories in the courier mail there in loads of info on these guys I thought I would put what I saw on this site and hope it helps I think with one determined person they will all be behind bars good luck…..

To Scott I wouldn’t normally respond to comments of this nature, but this situation is too important for those of us who were genuinely caught up with Rosekirk to be arguing with each other. If you will take the time to be objective about what you said and re-read my original note, it should be obvious to you that it is impossible to gain the understanding you alluded to in your comment. My only reason for asking those questions of Ex Employee was to avoid bring down the innocent with the guilty. Again, if you re-read what I said objectively, I did not ask anything that could have identified Ex Employee. Additionally, Ex Employee gave away sufficient information in his/her note in this Forum for anybody associated with Rosekirk to narrow down any identification to probably no more than 2-3 people or depending on staff movements, it could even be narrowed down to one person. Hopefully, like me, you are involved a constructive approach to putting the offenders out of business.

However, you may be far better placed by speaking to ASIC and giving them all the information you can because this is where any criminal convictions will come from for those involved. What about "Punters Proffessional" I stumbled across them most recently through using only the internet searching for a sytem that was affordable and at a super low price that produced constant results.
They are based over in England have their own website/webstore and online support for their product. I havnt bought it yet, but I have emailed them a number of times and theyve been happy to answer any of my questions.

About a year ago I was approached by phone from a company / business called "Regent Marketing". I was told that they obtained my name from one of those Internet marketing surveys – this information was volunteered up front. During the conversation I was also told that the computer based betting systems didn’t work. Unfortunately, this little gem was a couple of months late for me.
If I can remember correctly, Regent Marketing operated through a well known and registered on-course Bookie with real people placing the bets for you. Supposedly, these people live and breathe the Thoroughbred racing industry and at the end of the day (so to speak) you will make money.
I was directed to a Web Site to get more information about them and the system. The principle was similar, i.e. they would bet 5% of whatever was in your betting account. The amount in the account was up to you.
I didn’t buy in and have no intention of doing so. I only received two phone calls, i.e. I wasn’t pestered and I didn’t receive any glossy brochures.
Recently Regent Marketing were brought to ASIC’s attention because the business wasn’t correctly registered as a managed investment scheme. Apparently they fixed this problem and are still operating. This last piece of information was obtained from ASIC’s Web Site at the time of writing.

I hope you haven’t come too close to identifying yourself to the wrong people with the comments you made regarding your ex-wife. But, hopefully it won’t matter or affect you if you have. My mild concern stems from the possible repercussions if some of the wild threats made in the forum were attempted to be carried out.
Obtaining the full details of any current business practices of the same ilk as Rosekirk will assist with the process of some sort of justice for those affected by the scam. However, from my limited understanding so far, the justice will have to come from things like, breaking a contract, refusing to honour a contract, misleading marketing, not honouring the money back guarantee etc, because there are “buyer beware” elements associated with the basic “con” that muddy the waters legally on that point. That’s not to say that they can’t be brought down for it, but (again I could be wrong) they can’t be brought down for that along.
The other aspect in favour of some success through the legal process is that, unlike the end result of many scams, the people involved in this one are only morally bankrupt, that is, they have the resources to refund if they can be made do so.
I’m part of a small group pursuing the available and affective legal processes in an attempt to obtain some justice from this situation. So any legitimate information you can offer towards this end will be appreciated, but be careful about how you put yourself “out there”.
Everybody who has suffered a loss through Rosekirk is entitled to pursue the offenders and inturn entitled to anything you are willing to offer to assist them.

Im talking to my lawyer he said we have a case against Wayne Evans i know where he lives ask your self where did he money come for his new company and can he prove his earnings for the last five years, I think not.
I've already put up a message to say that putting people's phone numbers and address details on this forum is not going to get your money back.
I've also been contacted by Queensland Police who are currently investigating threats made against Wayne Evans through this forum.
Your IP addresses are recorded and can easily be used by the police to trace people making threats of violence which is a criminal offence.
I strongly advise that you go to a lawyer if you want to take action to recover your money. The only reason that your messages about phone numbers etc are still here is because they are evidence in a criminal matter (yours not Evans).
Believe me if you want to have any credibility in court to get your money back, you have blown it if the people you sue can demonstrate that you are involved in making threats against them.
I have been following this for some time and have found much of it very disturbing - if not distressing. This is not the wild west with vigilantes; this is Australia where personal threats are not the Australian way. We do not threaten people with physical harm in this country, we do not chase and hunt them down regardless of how strongly we may 'feel'. It is clearly WRONG. And any decent Australian citizen would never condone these actions.
Does this mean that anyone who feels or thinks they have been ripped off or cheated can threaten whomever they choose? Does this mean when I buy a property and then find white ants, I can threaten the agent/vendor personally; or when I buy something online which is not as I thought was described, I can threaten and bully the seller personally?
No. I find this offensive. I also find it very frightening. And I find it more frightening that so few are not seeing personal threats as very wrong and frightening also.
I would hope, and should be able to safely assume, that if somebody or some people had a grievance against me, whatever the nature, that my address or location was not given publicly - along with personal threats. And if it were, I would hope that the true Australian would find this abhorrent, regardless of any circumstances.
I also hope the people who are making these threats are aware that indeed the police can come knocking on their doors. And further, I hope this happens - before others are threatened personally by whoever has a grievance, on the internet or anywhere else.

According to Micro Corporation International, 'it can quickly identify potentially profitable shares, and that's how stock market money is made!' But these riches do not come cheap. The Blue Chip Trader will cost £7,990, though you can buy it for £5,640 on condition you pay the £2,350 balance when your investment profits reach £30,000, says Micro Corporation. Interdata shared offices and some staff with a firm called Comstrad, which made £4 million by selling expensive computer programs said to predict horse-racing results. More than 2,000 people were cheated before Comstrad was wound-up after an investigation by the Department of Trade and Industry. In Australia, Larry Pickering has been the man behind similar horse-racing programs, and his son Jamie worked with him. Craig Duffy told Financial Mail this was all in the past. 'Interdata is nothing to do with us, Tomato, Jamie, myself or Micro in any way, shape or form,' he said. 'In fact, Jamie's father has nothing to do with us.' But enquiries at Micro Corporation HQ in Surfers Paradise show that at least two firms selling horse-race tipping computer programs have been based in the same building in recent months. One was called Code XL. Five years ago, Larry Pickering was linked to an identical UK scheme called Sequence XL. It is possible the names Code XL and Sequence XL could be coincidence. Micro Corporation could also be in the same building as Code XL by coincidence. And it could be coincidence that Jamie Pickering is behind Micro Corporation and its share dealing program, just as his father was behind Interdata and its share dealing program. But there are too many coincidences for comfort. And far too many for anyone to risk £5,640.
This is another horse racing scam that Larry Pickering has been circulating in South Africa , it is similar to the Axis4 scam a few years ago. Then 4700 people were cheated out of R9000+ each before the sellers disappeared overnight and left the clients in misery. Now another company called CASHE is running a similar package. This is how they operate. Firstly a person is sent a glossy brochure showing them how by following their selections they can make R80,000 per month. This brochure is very lush and has the air about it like a stock market report. The previous results are shown in an expensive glossy brochure 'proving' their results. However these results cannot be verified, they have never been published before the event and no-one has seen them. Then the people how have received the brochure start to receive telephone calls in the evening from forceful salespeople who try to get them to buy the package. Only this time the price is R17,000+. But the frightening part about it is that they know your cell number, credit card details, address etc. I have no idea how they get this confidential information about you, but if you are approached by them, contact Carte Blanche ASAP and let them know. As horse racing scams circulate around the world, this page will expose the most recent ones which seem to be having the most impact. If you have been caught by one or wish to have one investigated please contact www.profit.co.za Last time when Axis4 were operating, I did this, and as soon as Axis4 realised they they were being investigated they jumped ship. Now before Carte Blanche will act, they need to get numerous complaints. So if you know anyone who is thinking about getting involved with this company in Cape Town under John Sharp then do them a favour and forward them this information. Different scams have different plans, but this is how a recent one was executed. The general public gets swamped with unsolicited mail promising huge profits from horse racing systems. Expensive glossy brochures arrive on the doorstep, with "guaranteed profits" signaling the start of an elaborate scam. . They purport to represent a huge multinational company with "200 highly skilled personnel" and state that they have developed a "highly sophisticated computer program consisting of over 100 algorithms" and that over 4 billion calculations are done before a selection is made for a race. It then goes on to say that it is easy to use and that there is after sales service six days a week. All the tempting scenarios are placed before the poor reader that with this system they could "relax in a resort and soak up the sun, work three hours per week, have the car you want. The boat" etc. in fact everything you could possibly want. All you have to do is buy their horse racing system on disk. If you don't have a computer don't worry you can phone in for the tips at no extra charge. Once you have been given the chance to read this you will then receive numerous phone calls from their Information Officer who will inform you that there are a limited number of systems available in your area and that you will have to act quickly to ensure your copy. Finally you will be offered a "money back guarantee" All this sounds fine and an unknown number of punters sent off their R8700 for what turns out to be a worthless disk and the scam are complete. The disk arrives and you find out that to qualify for a refund - if all goes wrong- you will have to follow the system for one year taking up 3-4 hours per week. After which you would be refunded, not the cost of the program, but the R1000 stake with which you were supposed to make R20000 per month. The only trouble now is that the bird has flown, there is no backup, and the results of the proven system were fictitious. The whole system was based on 20/20 hindsight. But that does not matter they have got your money. Oh yes and the "200 highly skilled personnel" turned out to be a handful of telesales students who know nothing about horse racing, just how to sell over the phone. But what about the selections and results? As there were several thousand punters around the country all backing the same three horses with their R50 bets the selection became the favourite automatically due to the weight of the money. (With over R50000 bet on each selection per 1000 users). The problem here though was that the selections were usually rank outsiders, which even if they were lucky enough to win would only pay a meager dividend. Others, who were betting in the same race often could not understand why such bizarre horses were favourite, well now you know. What happened next is that the company declares itself bankrupt, gone are the guarantees, the after sales service and they start all over again with the same formula under a different name. Classified ads, glossy brochures and telesales... we've seen it all before it has Larry Pickering written all over it, so just be aware and keep your money in your pocket. So what can punters learn from this? Sadly most of the victims of this fraud were not involved in racing to start with. They were lured into the game with false promises of easy money. The perpetrators did not advertise in the racing press, as generally punters know that there is no free lunch. Now these victims are left disillusioned with horse racing and most will leave the game never to return. A few sales people that worked for Rosekirk are now selling simular scams from "The Trust House" in middle of Surfers near the pancake place. if its not Larrys you can be sure its some one simular.
I have been informed that a warrant is going to be issued for the arrest of Larry Pickering he lost his case in the High Court then he appealed and lost again and was orderd by the high court to pay half a million in un paid tax.
